Soulamir - Realm of the Fae

Set within the third realm of the Kuboran System, the novel introduces the Soulamir Realm, home to two ancient peoples whose lives are bound inseparably to the natural world: the Zarin Fae and the Enniú Fae. Although they share a common ancestry and an unwavering commitment to protecting nature, they have followed different paths for so long that they now regard one another as enemies.

The Zarin Fae dwell within the great forests of Alvinne. By day they move freely beneath the open sky, tending the forests, rivers and wildlife that sustain the realm. As night falls, they return to the shelter of the sacred groves, where communities gather beneath ancient trees whose roots are believed to carry the memories of countless generations. Their lives are lived in harmony with the rhythms of daylight and the continual renewal of the forest.

The Enniú Fae inhabit a very different world. Choosing the darkness beneath the earth, they emerge beneath the light of the Night Star, where they follow traditions shaped by shadow, silence and the hidden places of Soulamir. Their subterranean settlements exist beyond the reach of the Green Circle, preserving customs that have remained unchanged for generations. Although seldom seen, they possess a profound understanding of the deeper energies that flow beneath the realm.

Conflict between the two peoples has endured throughout Soulamir's history, yet neither seeks the destruction of the other. Both recognise the same sacred responsibility: to preserve the natural balance of the realm. Their methods differ, their beliefs have diverged and their societies remain divided, but the forests, waters and living energies of Soulamir belong to them both. Like the intertwined roots of an ancient tree, they remain connected even when they grow in different directions.

Magic is not regarded as a force to dominate but as the natural expression of life itself. The Fae do not command nature. They exist within it, their identities woven so completely into the forests, waters and land that the wellbeing of one cannot be separated from the wellbeing of the other. Knowledge is preserved not through libraries or written records but through spoken tradition. The Tales of the Fae, passed from elder to elder in verse and rhyme, ensure that history remains alive in memory, allowing each generation to inherit not only the events of the past but the wisdom needed to protect the future.
