Last Queen of Odonar

Among the many civilisations of the Kuboran System, Odonar occupies a unique place. It is a realm where leadership has never been measured by conquest alone, but by the wisdom, resilience and judgement of its queens. For countless generations, the stability of the kingdom has rested not upon competing dynasties but upon an unbroken tradition that entrusts sovereignty to women descended from the royal bloodlines established at the dawn of the realm's history. According to tradition, a female figure later known as Odella appeared upon what would become Monument Isle, inspiring the establishment of the first royal house under Queen Sareen. From this moment onward, the kingdom accepted a principle that would distinguish it from every other realm within the Kuboran System: only queens could inherit the crown. Three royal houses have guided Odonar through its long history: the House of Tebis, the House of Availgale and the House of Valeria. Each contributed to the kingdom's development, yet all remained faithful to the same constitutional tradition.

At its heart, Last Queen of Odonar is a story about resilience. It explores the responsibilities carried by those entrusted with leadership and the difficult decisions required when duty and personal desire come into conflict. Rather than presenting simple divisions between good and evil, the novella considers the complexities of power, the importance of wisdom and the enduring strength of hope during uncertain times.
